Yes! Our components are gold filled, which is safe for sensitive skin and is hypoallergenic. Any part touched by the skin is 14kt gold.

Gold filled jewelry is designed to last like gold without the same expense. While gold plated jewelry has a minimal amount of gold overtop a base, gold filled is required by law to have at least 5% or 1/20 of 14kt gold by weight. This layer of gold is pressure bonded to a base layer metal, which prevents the chipping or wear found in gold plating. If a piece is properly cared for it should be water safe (as long as it is not chlorinated or salt water) and will not tarnish like gold vermeil.

As we use a variety of materials, care can vary. Please refer to the product description for specific information.

Acrylic: Acrylic is a lightweight and durable material that is very low maintenance. Simply wipe clean with a soft cloth and mild soap as needed.

Wood: Wood jewelry can also be cleaned with a soft damp cloth and mild soap – just remember to dry immediately after with a soft towel. Unlike acrylic, wood is not resistant to moisture.

Gold filled components: Caring for gold filled jewelry is much the same as caring for any other jewelry. Here are some general care tips:

• Polish off the gold filled components of jewelry using a soft polishing cloth. This will help maintain its shine.
• Avoid contact with perfumes, detergents, and other skincare products.
• Avoid exercising in your jewelry or going into chlorinated pools.
• Rinse with warm water after swimming in the ocean. 

We are a married couple seeking to create original jewelry without utilizing cheap or unethical outsourcing. All acrylic and wood components of our jewelry are manufactured in house – as in, literally in our house located in a small town in the Pacific Northwest.  We author original files to produce each design. What we can’t make ourselves, we purchase through small independent sellers online.  Each jewelry piece is hand assembled by one of us before being shipped to you!

As a small team, we require 2-5 business days to ship orders. You will be notified via email when your order ships.

We ship all orders USPS Priority Mail, inside jewelry boxes carefully packed in a padded envelope. A tracking number will be emailed as soon as your order ships.

We do! Report any breakage or defect in your piece up to 30 days from when it arrives. Contact us so we can work with you to make it right. If the damage is due to our error, repair will be absolutely at no cost to you. If the damage was an accident on your end, the cost will depend on the damage, which we will quote you prior to asking you to pay to ship the piece back to us. 

We also offer repair on older Moony and Hobbes jewelry pieces to keep them wearable.
