The evil eye, or the concept that looks of envy can curse the subject, is an ancient belief dating back thousands of years. It is found in cultures all over the world, including being mentioned in the bible. While measures of protection against the malevolent impact of the evil eye varies, a common amulet to ward off its influence is the nazar – a stylized eye shape (typically made of concentric circles of glass featuring a strikingly blue outline). These earrings are inspired by nazar and other protections against the evil eye, with bright moonstones falling like tears to refresh and clear the energy around the wearer.
